Bitcoin recovered above $85,000 on Sunday morning after a volatile week marked by sharp swings tied to major economic data releases.
Bitcoin's Weekly Movement
The week began with Bitcoin falling from $85,000 to just under $82,500. On Wednesday, the release of lower-than-expected PCE data sparked a rally that pushed Bitcoin to $85,600 within minutes, followed by an immediate selloff. Thursday saw consolidation between $82,500 and $84,000 before Friday's weaker-than-expected US jobs report triggered another surge past $87,000—the highest level in approximately ten days. The rally proved short-lived, with Bitcoin dropping below $84,000 within hours. Buying support emerged on Saturday, stabilizing the price around $84,000, and the asset edged slightly higher to over $85,000 by Sunday.
Bitcoin's market capitalization reached $1.710 trillion, with its dominance over altcoins holding steady at 59%.
