Bitget has launched sub-accounts for Contracts for Difference (CFD) trading, designed to allow professional traders, proprietary trading teams, and high-net-worth users to operate multiple trading strategies across independent MT5 accounts from a single main account. The feature is intended to separate positions and execution while offering centralized oversight.
The new functionality is tailored for traders who execute multiple strategies simultaneously, including those utilizing automated trading models and Expert Advisors. Operating different time horizons and risk profiles within a single MT5 account can complicate margin usage, performance tracking, and position separation. The new sub-accounts allow users to assign distinct strategies to independent MT5 IDs.
By default, users can create up to five CFD sub-accounts. These accounts inherit the KYC and risk-control status of the primary account, eliminating the need for repeated verification during setup. The main account functions as a central control point, allowing users to monitor real-time equity, order histories, and margin ratios from a unified dashboard. Additionally, the main account retains authority over password management and resets, while liquidation alerts and margin calls are sent directly to the email and app notifications of the specific sub-account.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen noted that professional traders frequently manage multiple simultaneous strategies, and the sub-account feature is intended to provide separation and centralized management without increasing operational friction.
This rollout expands Bitget's CFD infrastructure as part of its broader Universal Exchange strategy, integrating independent MT5 environments with centralized management tools as the platform continues its expansion into traditional financial markets.
