Bitmine Immersion Technologies has accumulated 6.03 million ETH, representing 4.9% of Ethereum's circulating supply and approaching its stated target of 5% ownership. The company announced Monday that it acquired an additional 12,532 ETH over the preceding week, extending a purchasing streak that began June 30, 2025.
The company's total crypto holdings reached $16.2 billion, with its ETH treasury valued at approximately $15.34 billion based on a price of $2,544 per token. Bitmine also holds 214 BTC, $612 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million investment in Beast Industries, and an $85 million stake in Eightco Holdings.
At the current Ethereum supply level of 122.1 million tokens, Bitmine would need approximately 6.105 million ETH to reach its 5% target, leaving roughly 76,000 tokens to acquire.
Staking Operations Generate Substantial Rewards
Approximately 84% of Bitmine's ETH holdings—5.07 million tokens—are currently staked, representing $12.9 billion. The company estimates this position generates approximately $336 million in annual staking rewards at current yields.
Bitmine projects that when its entire ETH position is fully staked through its Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN) and staking partners, annualized rewards could reach $400 million. MAVAN, launched earlier this year, has expanded to serve institutional investors, custodians, and other participants seeking Ethereum staking infrastructure.
Market Positioning and Performance
Bitmine remains the world's largest publicly traded Ethereum treasury. During the first nine months of 2026, Ethereum declined 10% while Bitmine's stock (BMNR) declined 3%, according to the company.
Over the last three months, Bitmine shares are up more than 55%, though the stock declined 12.8% during the five trading sessions preceding the announcement and opened lower on Monday during pre-market trading.
Concentration Risk
Bitmine's substantial single-asset concentration offers considerable upside potential during a bull market but exposes shareholders to substantial losses if Ethereum prices decline.
