BlackRock attracted more than $1.5 billion into its Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds over five trading sessions ending August 28. The asset manager's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded net inflows of $938.3 million, while its Ethereum funds ETHA and ETHB drew a combined $644.3 million.
IBIT remained the primary destination for institutional capital throughout the week. The fund attracted $208.9 million on August 24, followed by inflows of $284.4 million, $200.8 million, and $277.6 million over the next three sessions. Although IBIT recorded a $33.4 million outflow on August 28, it finished the week with $938.3 million in net inflows.
On August 27, IBIT attracted $277.6 million, exceeding the total net inflows recorded by the entire U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market that day as competing funds experienced outflows.
BlackRock's Ethereum funds attracted a combined $644.3 million between August 24 and August 28, accounting for the majority of inflows into U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs. The strongest session came on August 27, when the funds brought in $150.9 million. Data shows ETHA has attracted more than $1 billion in inflows over a nine-session buying streak, making it the dominant Ethereum ETF in the U.S. market.
The latest figures indicate institutional investors continue increasing exposure to digital assets through regulated investment vehicles, with BlackRock capturing a significant share of capital entering both Bitcoin and Ethereum products.
