BNB Chain has become the first blockchain network to cross $1 billion in tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to Token Terminal data. The milestone comes as the broader market for tokenized stocks and ETFs climbed to $3.7 billion, with BNB Chain securing approximately 30% of the total share.
Data from Token Terminal shows that the sector's total market capitalization rose by about 17% in September, moving from $2.87 billion in August to $3.35 billion, before reaching the current $3.7 billion level. Following BNB Chain's $1.1 billion valuation, Ethereum held the second position with $828 million (22%), and Solana ranked third with $738 million (20%).
A Binance Research report published on Tuesday noted that BNB Chain also leads in adoption by address count, with 1.8 million addresses holding tokenized stocks—representing 45% of the total. The network hosts products such as Binance bStocks and Ondo Global Markets tokenized securities.
Tokenized stocks and ETFs have expanded significantly over the course of the year. According to Token Terminal data, the sector has grown more than fivefold from $719 million in January. At the start of the year, Ethereum held a 48% market share, Solana accounted for 31%, and BNB Chain comprised 13%.
