BNB Price and Market Outlook Amid DOJ Compliance Probe into Binance

Binance Coin (BNB) is currently in focus following reports that the US Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating whether Binance complied with the terms of its 2023 settlement agreement. At press time, BNB traded at $748 with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.12 billion.

DOJ Investigation and Recent Scrutiny

According to a Bloomberg report, the DOJ is examining whether Binance violated its settlement agreement with the US government. Under the 2023 deal, Binance pleaded guilty to violating banking guidelines, paid a $4.3 billion fine, and agreed to enhance its compliance controls.

Tysen Duva, head of the DOJ's criminal division, stated that there is an ongoing investigation involving the agency, though specific details regarding the status of the facts or developments were not disclosed. This probe follows separate scrutiny regarding allegations that Binance violated Iran sanctions by allowing certain trading activity. Binance CEO Richard Teng has criticized these accusations, asserting that the exchange maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sanctions violations.

Market Outlook and ETF Inflows

Market analysts have presented mixed projections for BNB amid these developments. Analyst Crypto Patel noted that BNB trades above its previous accumulation zone between $350 and $525, suggesting a potential bullish target following a breakout. Conversely, other analysts point to short-term downward pressure. Analyst Jesse Olson noted a sell signal on the daily chart that could lead to a drop toward the $600 zone, while analyst Cryptorphic warned of a potential decline to $674 if the price fails to reclaim the $746 level.

This mixed technical outlook coincides with strong performance for BNB exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which recorded $98.89 million in month-to-date inflows, marking their best-performing month since launching in May 2026, according to data from SoSoValue. The increased inflows follow VanEck's update to its spot BNB ETF to include staking.

Technical Analysis and Key Levels

On the one-day chart, BNB has fallen below the lower trendline of an ascending parallel channel, indicating waning bullish momentum and a potential downside trend reversal.

  • Support Levels: BNB faces immediate crucial support at the 61.8% Fibonacci level of $730. A break below this level could drive the price down to $681.
  • Technical Indicators: Awesome Oscillator (AO) bars and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading of 47 suggest that bears currently hold a slight upper hand.
  • Resistance Levels: To confirm a resumption of the uptrend, BNB must close above the resistance at the channel's midline, which could clear the path for a move toward $809.
