Canary Capital has filed Pre-Effective Amendment No. 2 to its S-1 registration for a proposed Canary Staked SEI ETF. The fund would hold spot SEI tokens and stake roughly 90% of its holdings, with BitGo serving as the sole custodian.
The ETF filing adds to ongoing attention on SEI, which posted gains exceeding 1,000% during 2023–24.
Technical Setup and Key Levels
SEI is currently trading around $0.06796 while moving within a falling wedge pattern on the weekly chart. The trading range has tightened considerably, and the token is retesting the wedge's upper boundary.
A confirmed breakout above this level could shift the technical setup significantly. The first major resistance sits at $0.09539. If SEI breaks above the wedge and converts $0.09539 into support, additional levels under consideration are $0.15137 and $0.30125.
What Traders Are Watching
The market is monitoring two key outcomes. A failure to clear $0.09539 could result in SEI consolidating within the wedge pattern for an extended period. Conversely, a confirmed upside break could open room for further price discovery, though traders are cautioned that moves could be significant.
For now, the proposed staked ETF provides a new narrative for the token, while the technical chart demands confirmation of any breakout move.
