Capital B, the 27th largest Bitcoin digital asset treasury, announced a €21 million funding round from institutional investors to expand its Bitcoin holdings. According to a press release on August 28, the company is issuing 36.22 million new shares as part of the capital raise.
Strategic investors participating in the round include Adam Back and TOBAM. Adam Back's direct shareholding will increase from 39.65 million shares to 54.30 million shares, while TOBAM's holdings will rise from approximately 9.49 million to 12.08 million shares.
Current Holdings and Acquisition Plans
Capital B currently holds 3,145 BTC valued at $244.3 million and has completed 31 Bitcoin purchases since November 5, 2024. The company estimates that proceeds from this financing, combined with ongoing operations, could enable it to acquire approximately 270 additional BTC, potentially bringing total holdings to around 3,415 BTC.
The company's quarterly Bitcoin yield per share shows 0.1% growth in Q4 2025, 0.7% in Q1 2026, 1.1% in Q2 2026, and 0.3% in Q3 2026. Capital B has set a long-term goal of reaching 15,000 BTC by the end of 2027.
At the time of the announcement, Capital B's stock price was trading at €0.57 after an 8.06% decline in the previous trading session.
