Cardano's native token, ADA, has experienced a strong upward move, posting a 20% weekly increase to surpass $0.25 and outperforming several leading cryptocurrencies during the period.
The recent price movement coincides with key ecosystem developments. The Cardano Foundation integrated with the x402 payment standard via an official SDK, allowing applications and artificial intelligence agents to utilize ADA for API calls and other services. This positions Cardano alongside networks like Solana and the XRP Ledger in exploring infrastructure for autonomous AI payments.
Additionally, Cardano technology was utilized in the launch of the "Barca Fan Lab" by Spanish football club FC Barcelona, in collaboration with Andamio. The initiative provides fans with opportunities to learn about the club's history, participate in community activities, and earn verifiable digital credentials.
Market analysts have responded to the price action with varying perspectives. Some observers pointed to technical breakouts, identifying targets around $0.30 and $0.315 within a bullish price channel. Other analysts drew comparisons to historical patterns from 2020, with targets reaching as high as $2.90, while Jesse Olson noted a pending buy signal on the weekly chart.
Despite the broader bullish sentiment, technical indicators signal potential short-term risks. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) climbed to 78, placing the asset in overbought territory and signaling a possible pullback. Furthermore, exchange netflow data from CoinGlass indicated that inflows have recently exceeded outflows, pointing to increased immediate selling pressure as investors move assets to centralized platforms.
