Cardano Approaches $0.26 Resistance as Fireblocks Expands Institutional Support

Cardano (ADA) is approaching a significant technical level near $0.26 as the cryptocurrency forms higher lows within an ascending channel that began in June. The token recently pushed toward $0.26 before encountering selling pressure, establishing this level as the first major breakout confirmation zone.

A sustained daily close above $0.27 would strengthen the channel breakout and bring the $0.30–$0.32 resistance zone into focus. The $0.30 level coincides with a long-standing supply region where previous rallies faced rejection. Support below the current level sits around $0.235–$0.236, with the next support zone at $0.21–$0.22.

Institutional Infrastructure Expansion

The Cardano Foundation and Fireblocks announced plans on September 24 to integrate support for Cardano Native Tokens by March 2027. While Fireblocks has supported ADA since 2021, native tokens previously required manual handling on the platform.

The integration will make Cardano Native Tokens standard supported assets, including tokens using Cardano's CIP-26 Token Registry and CIP-68 on-chain metadata standards. This expansion could lower infrastructure barriers for issuers building stablecoins and tokenized assets on Cardano. Fireblocks reports its platform is used by more than 100 banks, with a broader client base including exchanges, payment companies, and fintechs.

Network Activity and Large-Holder Movement

On-chain data between September 14 and September 24 showed mixed signals among large wallet holders. The largest-wallet tier increased its aggregate balance by approximately 26.2 million ADA, while the mid-sized whale tier declined by roughly 24.5 million ADA. The shark tier added nearly 29 million ADA and increased its wallet count by 17. Combined balances across the three tracked tiers increased by approximately 30.7 million ADA during the week.

Following the Van Rossem upgrade, daily transactions reached 33,919 on September 25, while active addresses climbed to 16,388.

Technical Outlook

The immediate technical test remains whether buyers can sustain a breakout above $0.26–$0.27. A confirmed break would expose the larger $0.30–$0.32 supply zone, while rejection would keep ADA within its current recovery channel.
