Optimism has risen within the Cardano community following statements from a cryptocurrency founder regarding the long-term trajectory of ADA. Jure Karamarko, founder of the Cardano-based token SongMarketCap, stated on X that reaching a price above $3 is a matter of when rather than if.
This bullish outlook coincided with a price increase for ADA, which climbed more than 13.7% over a 24-hour period to break above $0.2142, supported by a market capitalization of $7.9 billion. The movement occurred alongside a broader recovery in the cryptocurrency market, where total market capitalization rose 6.6% to reach $2.63 trillion. During this period, Bitcoin briefly reclaimed $79,000, and Ethereum moved above $2,400.
Cardano previously reached an all-time high of $3.10 in September 2021. To revisit that peak from its current trading level around $0.214, the token would require a rally of approximately 1,349%.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has also expressed confidence in the long-term prospects of ADA as the ecosystem continues to evolve. However, analysts and market participants note that long-term predictions should be approached with caution due to the potential influence of market cycles, regulatory developments, adoption trends, and shifts in investor sentiment.
