Chainlink (LINK) climbed to $12.06 following a 12.03% rally over a 24-hour period, bringing its market capitalization to $9.03 billion alongside $1.04 billion in trading activity.
The price increase follows Coinbase's integration of Chainlink as the primary oracle solution for pricing tokenized equities, including Apple and NVIDIA, on the Base Layer-2 blockchain. This integration allows blockchain-based representations of traditional stocks to operate within decentralized finance applications by providing real-time pricing data necessary for collateral assessment and liquidation procedures.
The Base network utilizes the B20 token standard, built upon the ERC-20 framework, with tokenized securities regulated through Alpaca and structured to be bankruptcy remote. International users can acquire fractional ownership, trade on the Aerodrome decentralized exchange, or use the tokens as collateral in Aave lending protocols. On August 11, Coinbase received regulatory authorization from Abu Dhabi's Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) to establish international tokenization operations, granting verified token holders dividend rights and shareholder voting privileges while subjecting all transactions to sanctions compliance verification.
The broader tokenized securities sector has experienced significant expansion, with market capitalization growing from $329 million in June 2025 to approximately $1.7 billion by June 2026. Monthly blockchain-based transfer volumes rose from $53 million to $9.22 billion over the same period, while real-world asset deposits across DeFi lending platforms increased from $2.3 billion to $7.4 billion. Chainlink was also integrated into Robinhood Chain during its July deployment.
Institutional accumulation has accompanied the price movement. Data highlighted by cryptocurrency analyst Nazoku shows the Bitwise Chainlink ETF acquired 727,170 LINK tokens valued at $5.515 million over a seven-day period at an average price of $7.585, including a single transaction of 163,379 LINK tokens valued at approximately $1.85 million. Technical analysts from Rand Group identify $12.50 as a critical resistance zone, with potential upside targets extending toward $20 and $28 if current momentum continues.
