Chainlink Partners With LG CNS for South Korean Digital Asset Infrastructure

Chainlink and LG CNS announced a strategic partnership on October 22, 2026, aimed at building digital asset infrastructure for institutions in South Korea. The agreement integrates Chainlink’s cross-chain and data orchestration capabilities into KITL, the digital asset platform launched by LG CNS on October 6, 2026.

Core Objectives of the Partnership

The collaboration focuses on three primary goals: expanding the utility and distribution of Korean won stablecoins, supporting tokenized securities such as bonds and shares represented on a blockchain, and ensuring secure interoperability between blockchain networks and existing institutional systems.

By integrating Chainlink’s standardized oracle technology into KITL, the platform gains access to real-world data including price feeds and reserves. This builds upon Chainlink’s existing presence in South Korea, where it has supported transparency for Korean won stablecoins through its Proof of Reserve initiative.

KITL is designed to support multiple networks, such as Solana, without requiring separate implementations for each network. The platform also provides financial institutions with digital wallets, transaction processing, and data collection services.

The Role of LG CNS and Market Context

LG CNS acts as the lead contractor for the Bank of Korea’s central bank digital currency initiative, Project Hangang, with Phase 1 tied to approximately 80,000 customers across seven banks.

The KITL platform has established an ecosystem featuring partnerships with Circle as a stablecoin issuer, Securitize for tokenized securities, Canton Foundation for blockchain network infrastructure, and Chainalysis for blockchain analytics.

South Korea’s digital asset market is valued at approximately $68 billion to $70 billion, establishing it as Asia’s second-largest market for digital assets.
