Circle is bringing its stablecoin pitch to the annual SWIFT-organized Sibos 2026 conference, scheduled to run from September 28 through October 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The event brings together an audience of over 10,000 attendees from more than 160 countries, providing Circle an opportunity to engage financial institutions on integrating regulated stablecoin infrastructure into their operations.
The company's appearance follows the launch of its Arc Layer-1 blockchain mainnet, which went live on September 16, just days before the conference. The timing gives Circle a fresh piece of institutional-grade infrastructure to demonstrate as the event explores its theme of “Digital finance for AI-driven economies.”
Circle's conference agenda focuses on cross-border payments, treasury management, tokenization, and AI-integrated financial workflows. The newly launched Arc mainnet features sub-second finality and utilizes USDC as its native gas and settlement currency, designed specifically for institutional applications. Its validator set includes major entities such as BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard as institutional validators.
As of mid-September 2026, USDC circulation sits at approximately $73 to $74 billion across multiple blockchain networks. This circulation is backed by Circle's expanding roster of global licenses and regulatory approvals, which include a New York trust charter and approval as a national trust bank from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Sibos 2026 also marks the first time the annual conference has been hosted in Miami.
