Stand With Crypto, an advocacy organization launched by Coinbase in 2023, has endorsed 32 candidates for seats in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections. The endorsements are based on the candidates' digital asset policy views.
In a Monday notice, the organization stated that the endorsements are part of broader efforts to influence federal digital asset policy. Stand With Crypto selected politicians described as proven digital asset policy champions and targeted competitive races where its advocate numbers are most likely to influence outcomes.
Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, stated that crypto voters have formed a durable and motivated voting bloc capable of swinging key congressional races. Lynaugh added that the midterms represent a key inflection point for crypto policy in Washington, D.C.
The announcement follows earlier endorsements in March, when the group backed six candidates—three Republicans and three Democrats—all of whom advanced from their primaries to the November election. During the 2024 election cycle, crypto-backed organizations and political action committees spent more than $170 million to support favored candidates. Stand With Crypto reported that more than 270 pro-crypto candidates entered Congress in 2025.
Meanwhile, the legislative future of digital asset policy remains under discussion. Although the House passed the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act with bipartisan support in July 2025, Senate consideration has involved debates over ethics, tokenization, and stablecoin rewards. The CLARITY Act is scheduled for a cloture motion after the Senate returns from recess on Sept. 15, leaving a limited window of days in session before the November election.
