The Coinbase-backed advocacy group Stand With Crypto announced that it is backing 32 sitting members of Congress in the upcoming November elections. Every lawmaker included in the latest endorsement group previously voted to advance the CLARITY Act through the House.
The bipartisan list of endorsements includes Republicans Tom Emmer, Bill Huizenga, Juan Ciscomani, and Brian Fitzpatrick, alongside Democrats Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer. Stand With Crypto stated that it plans to announce its Senate endorsements closer to Election Day, expanding on its previous endorsement of six congressional candidates in March.
The announcements come as the CLARITY Act remains stalled in the Senate. The legislation aims to establish federal rules for digital assets and define regulatory responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Although the House previously advanced the measure, senators remain divided over several provisions.
Mason Lynaugh, executive director of Stand With Crypto, noted that the group's strategy has evolved since its initial national election campaign. While the 2024 cycle focused on proving the existence of the crypto voter, the 2026 campaign is designed to demonstrate organizing capacity and a voting bloc capable of moving the needle.
Coinbase launched Stand With Crypto in 2023 as a grassroots organization focused on digital asset policy. The group reports having more than three million registered U.S. advocates, emphasizing voter organization rather than large direct campaign expenditures. Meanwhile, broader crypto-related political spending has continued to grow, with industry-backed political groups committing close to $200 million during the current midterm cycle, including expenditures through super PACs like Fairshake.
