Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong Predicts Bitcoin Price Target by 2030

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that it is very likely Bitcoin will reach between $300,000 and $400,000 by 2030. Speaking on Fox Business, the crypto executive shared his long-term outlook following discussions in Washington.

Armstrong's comments followed a White House meeting on Wednesday where President Donald Trump hosted crypto executives and traditional finance leaders, urging lawmakers to advance the Clarity Act. Following the news, Bitcoin surged and traded up 10% over a 24-hour period after surpassing $72,000 per coin.

Legislative Push for the Clarity Act

According to Armstrong, the meeting with the president and top regulators from the SEC and CFTC featured a strong sense of urgency regarding regulatory progress. A vote on the Clarity Act is scheduled for September, following a delay from an intended August vote.

The proposed legislation aims to establish a regulatory framework distinguishing whether digital assets function as securities, commodities, or payment stablecoins. The bill has faced deadlock throughout 2026 due to conflicts between the banking lobby and crypto firms regarding stablecoin yields and potential deposit base impacts.

Armstrong noted that while a few holdout banks remain opposed to the measure, several traditional banks have endorsed the Clarity Act, recognizing that the framework provides new business opportunities involving the technology.
