Coinbase has activated full trading for the Cluster Protocol (CP) token, making the CP-USD pair live on both Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. The listing supports limit, market, and stop orders, providing traders with complete order functionality after a phased rollout.
At the time of activation, CP was trading around $0.038. The token already trades on OKX, KuCoin, Gate.io, and Bitget, with OKX reporting approximately $162 million in daily CP trading volume during recent sessions.
Phased Rollout Timeline
Coinbase announced support for Cluster Protocol on September 1, 2026, opening deposit address generation to allow users to transfer tokens onto the platform. On September 2, the exchange placed CP-USD into auction mode, enabling traders to submit limit orders while viewing an estimated opening price for at least 10 minutes before orders were executed at a single clearing price.
This auction mechanism was designed to prevent sharp price movements typically associated with new listings. The phased approach mirrors Coinbase's earlier 2026 rollout of the CAP-USD pair.
Market Access
The Coinbase listing provides a regulated US-based trading venue and direct USD trading pair, eliminating the need for traders to route transactions through stablecoins or other intermediary assets. Cluster Protocol has demonstrated trading volumes in the tens to hundreds of millions of tokens across existing platforms.
