On September 9, 2026, Cosmos launched its Partner Network, a curated ecosystem designed to help financial institutions streamline the implementation of digital asset infrastructure. The initiative includes a group of 17 founding partners, with BitGo among them, aimed at helping banks navigate compliance and operational hurdles.
Network Capabilities and Services
Cosmos provides its Tokenization Suite and digital ledger technology as the foundation of the network. Partner firms contribute specialized services required by banks, including custody, KYC and KYB verification, regulatory compliance tooling, and payment settlement rails.
BitGo’s role within the framework covers a broad range of regulated infrastructure, including custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, and settlement. This allows participating banks to address multiple operational needs through a single relationship rather than managing separate procurement processes.
The primary targeted use cases for the network include tokenized deposits, payment settlement, and treasury management.
Institutional Impact
The Cosmos Partner Network aims to reduce the coordination costs and time associated with launching digital assets at an institutional scale. By offering a pre-integrated stack where custody, compliance, settlement, and KYC are aligned, banks can avoid assembling a patchwork of independent vendors.
BitGo, which trades on the NYSE under the ticker BTGO, brings a publicly listed profile to the founding cohort. This inclusion provides additional transparency and accountability, as material developments regarding the network's scale may surface through the company's public disclosures.
