Cryptex Files Multi-Crypto ETF Registration With 24 Tokens Including XRP and Shiba Inu

Cryptex Finance has filed a sixth pre-effective amendment to its S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for the Cryptex BAGZ ETF, a spot multi-token digital asset fund seeking to list on Nasdaq. The filing, dated October 23, 2026, updates the fund's index methodology, custody arrangements, and staking framework.

The BAGZ ETF tracks 24 constituent tokens drawn from a broader 36-asset index organized into five thematic tiers. Major coins—Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Cardano—account for no more than 51.7% of total index weight. Layer 1 and Layer 2 infrastructure protocols, including Avalanche, Near, Aptos, and Chainlink, comprise approximately 22.25%. DeFi applications such as Maker, Uniswap, and Aave form a third category, while meme and community tokens, along with an innovation tier for emerging assets, share a combined ceiling of 15%, with at least 4% reserved for innovation.

Diversification Rules and Staking Framework

The fund enforces several anti-concentration safeguards. No single asset may exceed 30% of total index weight, and within each tier, no constituent may take more than 50% of that tier's allocation. Assets falling below a 0.15% portfolio floor are removed at quarterly rebalances held in January, April, July, and October.

The fund includes CTX, Cryptex's governance token, at a fixed 2.0% index weight with a 6.5% fund-level minimum floor. The prospectus discloses this as a potential conflict of interest.

The BAGZ ETF incorporates a staking framework for proof-of-stake assets. Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, and HYPE represent 26.82% of portfolio crypto assets and may be staked in custody, capped at 33% of total portfolio assets, with yield credited to fund NAV.

Institutional Structure and Competition

The fund is structured as a Cayman Islands limited liability company with BitGo Bank & Trust serving as digital-asset custodian and U.S. Bancorp Fund Services handling transfers and cash custody. Exchange Traded Concepts acts as co-sponsor. Daily holdings are published on the sponsor's website, with NAV calculated using Coinbase prices at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The BAGZ filing reflects growing institutional demand for multi-asset crypto exposure through a single equity ticker. Competitors are also pursuing similar structures. Franklin Templeton expanded its crypto index basket with XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin earlier in 2026. ProShares and Bitwise have filed for regulated multi-token ETF exposure, while Grayscale's GDLC demonstrates how index methodology directly affects altcoin liquidity.

The fund remains pre-effective, with seed capital and launch date still undisclosed. The next milestone would be a further S-1 amendment or an SEC order of effectiveness.
