Crypto casino and sportsbook Gamdom went offline on October 13 after suffering a significant security breach involving unauthorized access to an automation server and its hot wallets. Founder Felix Romer confirmed losses exceeding $3 million, though independent blockchain investigator vxdb estimated the total damage at approximately $4.2 million.
The incident forced the operator to shut down services and move remaining assets into cold storage for security. The company stated that user funds were safe and committed to restoring services as quickly as possible.
Transfers Across Multiple Blockchains
Blockchain trackers identified substantial transfers from Gamdom-linked wallets across several networks on October 13, including Ethereum, Solana, and Tron. Fairgambling's tracker recorded approximately $10.5 million in monitored wallet holdings on October 12, compared with roughly $76,000 the following day. However, this difference does not independently establish the amount stolen, as the operator subsequently transferred remaining assets into cold storage.
Discrepancy in Loss Estimates
While Romer acknowledged a hot-wallet breach costing just over $3 million, investigator vxdb provided a larger estimate of approximately $4.2 million in total losses. According to vxdb's breakdown, this included $2.2 million across Ethereum-compatible networks, $965,000 on Solana, $668,000 in bitcoin, and $375,000 on Tron. The discrepancy between the two figures remains unexplained, as blockchain movements can include internal transfers that complicate efforts to distinguish stolen funds from assets relocated for safekeeping.
Recovery Continues
By October 15, Gamdom's recovery was still incomplete. Romer acknowledged the delay in bringing the platform back online. The operator has not released a comprehensive forensic account, and no customer-balance losses have been independently established.
