Crypto Influencer Ansem Defends New Website Amid Developer Dispute

Crypto influencer Zion “Ansem” Thomas launched a website on Monday to facilitate crypto transactions, quickly drawing criticism and allegations from a pseudonymous developer known as “bleep.”

Developer Allegations and Response

By Wednesday, bleep warned of unpatched vulnerabilities on the platform and accused Ansem of giving “zero consideration” to his developers. Bleep, who claimed to have managed developer relations within Ansem’s Discord server, is currently building an Ansem-adjacent project called Bullpad that utilizes Ansem’s memecoin as a quote token.

Bleep stated that he spent significant time and money building a platform that Ansem was allegedly interested in. He also characterized Ansem's platform as a “vibe-coded Pump Fun wrapper.”

Ansem dismissed the allegations as “not true” and “baseless.” He denied having any agreement with bleep, describing their communications as infrequent and informal. Ansem added that bleep built the project independently and made accusations after failing to receive desired recognition.

Broader Market Context

The dispute expanded on Wednesday when another social media user warned users to remove funds from the launchpad and disconnect their wallets over unverified claims regarding developer pay. Proposed community notes on the post disputed the vibe-coding claim, noting that bleep built Bullpad rather than the official Ansem.io website and did not publish specific vulnerabilities.

Meanwhile, CoinGecko data indicates that Ansem’s memecoin, ANSEM, accounts for 94% of the ecosystem's $100 million valuation. Six launchpad coins tracked from ansem.io held a combined market value of $7 million on Wednesday. The ANSEM token declined over the prior month, closing a recent session at $0.22 following an all-time high of $0.44 on July 6.
