The cryptocurrency market has experienced a notable upturn, with its total market capitalization increasing by $400 billion. The total market valuation currently stands at $2.57 trillion following the recent inflows.
The momentum was primarily driven by Bitcoin reclaiming the $70,000 threshold for the first time since May 31. After trading near the $63,000 region earlier in the week, Bitcoin surpassed the $70,000 benchmark and later traded at $77,305 following a 6.6% increase over a 24-hour period. Bitcoin recorded a 22.3% gain over the week, driving a broader market recovery that lifted altcoins including Ether, Solana, and XRP.
Analysts Ronald Carter and Crypto Fergani point to several technical and market metrics that typically accompany the early stages of a wider market uptrend. According to these analysts, key indicators include a steep surge in Bitcoin's price alongside strong trading volume, the breaking of major resistance levels, and shifts in Bitcoin dominance that often precede increased capital rotation into altcoins.
Additional signs of rising market engagement include an increase in active addresses, higher institutional participation, heightened transaction activity, and significant exchange inflows. Market observers note that previous major rallies frequently began with surging prices and improving sentiment before broader market participation expanded.
