Crypto Markets Show Mixed Signals as Bitcoin Faces Selling Pressure

Cryptocurrency markets remained cautious this week as selling pressure continued to weigh on Bitcoin and altcoins. While major cryptocurrencies struggled to gain traction, smaller-cap tokens experienced more volatile moves, with some posting double-digit declines as traders awaited signs of sustained strength.

Weekly Winners

Bitway [BTW] emerged as the week's strongest performer, surging nearly 50% for its seventh consecutive week of gains. The Bitcoin-focused DeFi infrastructure token reached a new all-time high of $2.70, bringing the $3 mark into focus. However, the token reversed more than 5% intraday to $2.30 as some holders took profits. Key support sits around $1.80, with a close below that level potentially triggering further selling.

Pearl [PRL], an AI-focused crypto project, climbed nearly 30% after reaching an all-time high of $2.10 on October 14th. The token traded around $1.87 at press time, retaining most of its weekly gains. The pullback reflected profit-taking following the sharp rally, though buyers maintained the price well above earlier weekly levels. The $2–$2.10 resistance zone represents the immediate hurdle.

Monero [XMR], a privacy-focused cryptocurrency, jumped from $537 to $570 as buying pressure increased. The token crossed the $565 resistance level, though the long-awaited breakout remains unconfirmed. Bulls must hold above $565 to move higher, with $575 and $600 as critical technical levels to watch.

Other notable gainers included TAU FA [TAUFA] with a 252% gain, Quack AI [Q] with 233%, and Verified Emeralds [VEREM] with 121%.

Weekly Losers

MemeCore [M], a Layer-1 blockchain focused on meme coin culture, posted the largest decline with a nearly 23% drop. The correction marks the token's fourth consecutive week of losses as it failed to hold above the $2 support level. Bears have pushed the price back to late-June support around $0.8, leaving many short-term holders underwater. RSI is entering oversold territory, which could facilitate a rebound toward $1.00 if the $0.70 support holds.

Pump.fun [PUMP], a Solana-based memecoin launchpad token, dropped nearly 20% as selling pressure mounted. Sellers have pushed the token below the $0.00475 level, indicating buyer weakness. Although RSI is reaching oversold levels, $0.00430 represents the critical support zone to watch. A break below this level could trigger further losses.

Midnight [NIGHT], a privacy blockchain token, declined about 18% as selling pressure mounted. The token fell toward $0.04 from $0.05, with buyers appearing reluctant to support the dip. Critical support sits around $0.041, with further downside toward $0.035 possible if this level breaks.

Other significant losers included Talus [US] down 74%, Super Inu [SI] down 50%, and Blur [BLUR] down 46%.
