On-chain analytics provider CryptoQuant has upgraded its application programming interface (API) with higher rate limits, finer data resolution, and a new credit-based pricing model. The changes are designed to attract users who previously found institutional-grade market intelligence cost-prohibitive.
The updated infrastructure introduces two main data resolution tiers: the Advanced plan, which includes hourly market data resolution, and the Pro plan, which provides minute-level granularity.
Key Changes to Limits and Pricing
Users on the Basic and Advanced tiers receive approximately 100 times more request headroom than previously available. Single-call data queries can now pull up to 7 data points for daily requests, 168 points for hourly requests, and 10,080 points for minute-level queries.
Additionally, the API automatically begins serving data for newly listed tokens on supported exchanges without requiring manual configuration from users.
Pricing is set at approximately $39 per month for the Advanced plan and around $109 per month for the Pro plan, with annual discounts available for both tiers.
Transition to a Prepaid Credit System
Alongside the tier updates, CryptoQuant has shifted its API usage model to a prepaid credit system. Rather than a traditional subscription model with fixed limits that reset regardless of use, credits are now deducted from a monthly allotment based on actual consumption.
The platform competes in the on-chain analytics market alongside firms such as Glassnode, Nansen, Arkham Intelligence, and Dune Analytics, providing data on metrics including Bitcoin exchange flows, miner behavior, and derivatives.
