Dash [DASH] has entered a corrective phase after a significant rally in recent weeks. The privacy coin climbed from a low of $29.62 on August 19 to a high of $78.68 by September 6, representing a 165% gain in under three weeks.
Since reaching that peak, Dash has retreated approximately 31%. At the time of reporting, the token was testing a critical support zone at $55.
Support levels under scrutiny
The pullback follows Dash hitting a key supply zone at $80, marking a notable decline from the previous week's price action. Analysts noted that several multi-month resistance levels have been breached during the rally and are now functioning as support levels.
Key support zones include the $52.13 level from May, which aligns with a 61.8% Fibonacci retracement of the swing move from $36.91 to $78.68. A deeper price drop could test support near $45.85.
Technical indicators
The On-Balance Volume (OBV) indicator has advanced steadily in recent weeks, signaling increased buying activity. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the daily timeframe also indicates bullish momentum despite the recent correction.
Trading outlook
Traders monitoring the altcoin are watching for two scenarios: a price dip below $52.87 would signal a deeper decline toward $45.85, while a breakout past $57.20-$57.80 would suggest the uptrend may resume. Swing traders are advised to wait for clearer signs of continuation before entering positions.
