Aero, a unified DeFi liquidity layer consolidating Aerodrome Finance and Velodrome Finance, is set to launch across seven blockchain networks on October 21 at 8 p.m. EDT, or midnight UTC on October 22.
The platform will deploy on Base, Ethereum Mainnet, Arbitrum, OP Mainnet, Arc, Robinhood Chain, and Ink. Developed by Dromos Labs, Aero is designed to support onchain and cross-chain swaps, governance-directed liquidity incentives, token-market bootstrapping, and liquidity for stablecoins, tokenized assets, and foreign exchange.
Core Features and Governance
Aero will operate using a ve(3,3)-style model for governance and liquidity rewards. The protocol includes MetaRouter, MetaSwaps, and SDK tools to provide cross-chain routing and developer integration. Aero Lite is already active on Circle's Arc blockchain.
According to the project, sAERO token holders will use Predictive Allocation to direct AERO Rewards across the network and earn a share of exchange revenue. Users can create markets permissionlessly, with incentives designed to attract liquidity.
Development and Security
The launch follows a planned merger of Aerodrome and Velodrome after 10 months of development. The project completed a public audit contest, with final fixes being merged before the full application enters final quality assurance testing.
The seven-chain rollout is expected to roughly triple the market covered by existing Aerodrome and Velodrome deployments.
