DGrid AI's DGAI token nearly doubled in value on its first day of trading following the launch of the decentralized AI inference project's native token.
According to CoinGecko data, DGAI traded around $0.73 on Tuesday, marking an increase of nearly 93% over the previous 24 hours. The token recorded a market capitalization of approximately $110 million and a trading volume exceeding $165 million.
The token launch coincides with the expansion of DGrid's decentralized AI network, which connects developers and users with distributed nodes designed to process AI inference requests. The DGAI token is utilized for network payments, staking, and node rewards.
Per DGrid's litepaper, the network routes artificial intelligence requests across models hosted on distributed nodes and implements a “Proof of Quality” mechanism to assess results. Node operators are required to stake DGAI and can earn token rewards for supplying computing resources, while facing penalties for misconduct or poor performance.
In addition to the token launch, DGrid reported that it sold more than 140 DClaw Boxes within a few hours at a price of 1,580 USDT each, totaling over 221,000 USDT in sales.
The DClaw Boxes are physical hardware devices built to run DGrid’s DClaw personal AI agent. These devices connect users to AI models through a decentralized network of independently operated nodes rather than relying on a centralized provider.
