Dogecoin closed 1.2% higher at $0.094 on Tuesday, yet remains stuck below a key resistance level that has consistently blocked sustained price gains. The cryptocurrency reached a daily high of $0.0967 before settling near $0.094, trading within a resistant zone between $0.098 and $0.10.
Golden Cross Emerges
DOGE recorded its first daily golden cross in 14 months, a technical signal that occurs when an asset's 50-day average price moves above its 200-day average. This crossover suggests that short-term price momentum is improving faster than longer-term trends, typically interpreted as an early indication that buyers are regaining control.
However, the appearance of a golden cross does not guarantee future price movement. The previous golden cross for Dogecoin led to a rally that eventually lost its gains, demonstrating that these signals indicate trend shifts rather than predict outcomes.
$0.10 Barrier Remains Critical
Breaking above $0.10 would signal that the recovery is continuing. Sellers have repeatedly blocked lasting moves above this level despite multiple tests. A close above $0.10 could prompt a move toward the next resistance at $0.106, where the rally failed in September. The $0.12 level would then come into view if that obstacle is overcome.
Support near $0.093 is equally important for maintaining the current recovery. If this level breaks, the price could decline toward $0.0885.
The golden cross has improved the longer-term outlook for Dogecoin, but a convincing breakout requires confirmation through a clear move above $0.10.
