Dogecoin Labs Launches to Unify DOGE Payments and Apps

Dogecoin Labs launched on October 21 in partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation, bringing three Dogecoin products under a single company. The new organization aims to expand how holders use DOGE for payments, consumer applications, and other everyday services.

Three Products Under One Roof

Jordan Jefferson, founder of MyDoge and DogeOS, will serve as chief executive. Dogecoin Labs will oversee the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS application platform, and Such App, along with development resources contributed by the Foundation and House of Doge.

MyDoge reports more than 500,000 users. Its V3 release connects wallet holders with applications built on DogeOS, giving developers a way to reach people who already hold DOGE.

DogeOS opened its public test network on September 30. Developers can use familiar Ethereum tools to test lending, trading, and gaming applications. The platform has not announced a main network launch date, and some planned security features remain unfinished.

Payments Beyond Tipping

Such App, developed by House of Doge and Brag House, offers invoices and in-person QR payments. The planned DogeOS connection remains unfinished. Its merchant focus comes as Cross River Bank plans to integrate Ripple’s RLUSD into its banking system.

The Such App beta lets merchants request DOGE payments from customers. However, Dogecoin Labs has not said when merchants will access DogeOS applications through the platform.

Dogecoin Labs plans to support commerce, decentralized finance, gaming, and consumer products. Jefferson said the company would bring existing development teams together rather than leave wallet, application, and payment projects operating separately.

The wider payments market is changing too. Polygon completed its Coinme acquisition on October 14, extending its regulated payment services across 48 US states. The transaction is separate from Dogecoin Labs.

ETF Closure Adds Market Context

The Foundation will continue handling open-source work and community programs while Dogecoin Labs manages commercial products. Foundation director Tim Stebbing said the new company would focus on turning community interest into services people can use.

The launch follows a difficult period for Dogecoin investment products. Bitwise ended trading in its Dogecoin ETF on October 14 after weak demand. Separately, Dogecoin whales added about 600 million DOGE between October 12 and 16, according to analyst estimates. DogeOS still operates a test network, and Such App’s wider integration remains planned.
