Wallets linked to the Donald Trump (TRUMP) token team have transferred 81.87 million TRUMP tokens to centralized exchanges over the past eight months. According to on-chain monitoring platform EmberCN, the transferred tokens were valued at approximately $249 million at an average price of $3.04, with platforms including Binance and OKX receiving the funds.
The transfers occurred gradually rather than all at once. Notable transactions included a recent transfer where a team-linked wallet moved 11.25 million TRUMP tokens worth about $26 million in a single transaction, which included 3.25 million tokens sent directly to OKX. Analysts note that moving tokens to centralized exchanges does not definitively confirm an immediate sale.
Supply and Investor Impact
Despite the recent exchange transfers, team-linked wallets still control a substantial portion of the asset's supply. Under the original token allocation, the team received 800 million TRUMP, representing 80% of the total one-billion-token supply through wallets connected with CIC Digital LLC and The Trump Organization. Following the recent transfers, the team continues to hold roughly 718 million TRUMP tokens, which accounts for about 71.8% of the total supply and is valued at approximately $1.49 billion at current prices.
The steady flow of tokens to exchanges—averaging more than 10.2 million TRUMP tokens per month—has raised concerns among market participants regarding potential selling pressure and a supply overhang. Concurrently, the TRUMP token price dropped by 5.8% over a 24-hour period to trade around $2.06.
