Ethereum ETFs Record Sustained Inflows

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded inflows of $102.18 million on August 28, marking the tenth consecutive day of net inflows. The aggregate inflow during the ten-day period reached approximately $1.52 billion, demonstrating sustained institutional demand despite declining prices.

The streak included the largest weekly inflow in years—$824.42 million since October 2025. August 27 was the strongest day, with $234.51 million in inflows.

BlackRock's ETHA led daily demand with $83.79 million in inflows and held $8.46 billion in assets. BlackRock's ETHB attracted $42.64 million, while Fidelity's FETH saw withdrawals of $24.26 million. Grayscale, Bitwise, VanEck, and Franklin products recorded no daily flow changes.

Divergence Between ETF Demand and Market Pressure

Ethereum ETF demand contrasted with broader market weakness driven by Federal Reserve signals. Bitcoin ETFs recorded $201.81 million in withdrawals on August 27, highlighting divergent flows between the two largest digital assets.

The persistent ETF inflows occurred as Ether declined 2.33% during the period, indicating institutional buying despite near-term price pressure.

Regulatory Developments

The CLARITY Act advanced following House passage but faced ongoing negotiations in the Senate over ethics, anti-money-laundering, and enforcement provisions. A procedural vote is scheduled for September 15 to determine if supporters can secure the 60 votes needed to advance the measure.
