Ethereum has extended a significant rally, climbing 34% over the past 30 days to trade in the $2,440–$2,465 range. This performance positions ETH as the top gainer among the five largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization during this period, as the broader cryptocurrency market capitalization stands near $2.65 trillion.
During an appearance on the Milk Road Show, Fundstrat Global Advisors co-founder Tom Lee outlined a price scenario for Ethereum contingent on Bitcoin reaching $150,000 by the end of 2026. If Bitcoin climbs to that level and the ETH/BTC ratio advances from 0.03 to 0.04, Lee projected Ethereum's price would settle around $6,000. Lee characterized this forecast as conservative, noting that the ratio previously peaked at 0.08 during the 2021 bull market cycle.
U.S.-listed spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds registered $102.18 million in net inflows on August 28, with BlackRock's ETHA product leading at $83.79 million. Cumulative historical inflows for these investment vehicles have reached $12.97 billion, with aggregate net assets standing at $15.23 billion—representing 5.20% of Ethereum's entire market capitalization.
On-chain metrics suggest potential upside. The Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Ratio has climbed from -45% to -7%, approaching historically bullish territory. Historical data shows that in four of the last five occasions when this indicator crossed into positive territory, it preceded bull market phases for ETH. The weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) declined to 30 before rebounding, a technical pattern that has coincided with cyclical price bottoms for Ethereum in the past.
Analysts have identified resistance zones at $2,500 and $2,800 as potential milestones. On the daily timeframe, ETH broke through the $2,400 resistance barrier and its 200-day Exponential Moving Average, with some analysts anticipating a liquidity sweep in the $2,300–$2,400 zone before the next upward movement.
Tom Lee identified the CLARITY Act as a potentially significant catalyst for Ethereum's price trajectory. The proposed regulatory framework would establish clear jurisdictional boundaries between the SEC and CFTC for digital asset supervision, with a procedural cloture vote in the Senate scheduled for September 15. Lee emphasized that regulatory certainty carries greater weight for traditional finance institutions than for crypto-native entities.
