The cryptocurrency market is showing divergent sentiment across major assets, with Ethereum drawing increased bullish interest while Bitcoin and XRP traders adopt a more cautious stance.
According to Santiment data, Ethereum's bullish-to-bearish comment ratio stands at 2.05, indicating approximately two positive comments for every negative one across social platforms including X, Reddit, and Telegram. This heightened optimism reflects trader interest in ETH's recovery above key support levels, staking demand, and anticipated network improvements.
Bitcoin, by contrast, has a ratio of 0.82, with bearish comments outnumbering bullish ones. This shift in sentiment coincides with Bitcoin's failure to sustain levels above $87,000, declines toward $81,000, liquidations of leveraged long positions, and broader macroeconomic uncertainty. XRP follows a similar pattern with a ratio of 0.92, reflecting its more than 9% weekly decline and difficulty reclaiming the $1.40 level.
Capital flows reveal a more complex picture. Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs recorded net outflows in October—$278.37 million and $695.35 million respectively—reversing September's inflows. XRP spot ETFs, however, attracted $12.09 million in net inflows this month.
The CoinGlass Altcoin Season Index stood at 64 as of the report, suggesting the market is leaning toward altcoin season but has not yet reached the 75 threshold typically marking its official onset. Bitcoin maintains market dominance at 60.39%.
The broader cryptocurrency market cap recovered to $2.91 trillion at the time of reporting, following a recent decline.
