Ethereum's staking metrics reveal a substantial imbalance between entry and exit demand. According to ValidatorQueue data, approximately 1.23 million ETH—valued near $2.8 billion—is waiting to enter the network's staking system, with an estimated waiting period of around 21 days and 16 hours.
By contrast, the exit queue remains considerably smaller at just 1,682 ETH awaiting unstaking, with an estimated one-day waiting period before a 7.1-day sweep delay.
Staking Participation Trends
Total staked ETH on the network climbed from approximately 41.5 million in August to 44.2 million by late October, increasing the proportion of Ethereum's circulating supply committed to staking from around 34% to 36.19%. This reflects a growing share of ETH dedicated to network security rather than remaining available for immediate trading.
Historical data from August through October showed the entry queue declining from approximately 2.4 million ETH to 1.2 million, while the entry waiting period compressed from around 43 days to 22 days. The exit queue experienced a sharp spike in early October, reaching approximately 550,000 ETH, before declining to negligible levels by month's end.
The number of active Ethereum validators fell from approximately 910,000 in September to nearly 815,000 by late October.

Total assets under management across Ethereum ETFs fell to $14.27 billion, with cumulative net inflows declining to $12.55 billion.
