Fairshake, the crypto industry's leading political action committee, announced support for 32 U.S. House incumbents in the November elections, split between 13 Democrats and 19 Republicans.
Six candidates are receiving $1 million each in support from Fairshake and its affiliates. On the Republican side, the top recipients include French Hill, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee; Bill Huizenga, a senior committee member; and Bryan Steil, who leads the subcommittee on digital assets.
The three highest-supported Democrats are Steven Horsford of Nevada, Derek Tran of California, and Janelle Bynum of Oregon. Horsford helped advance a bipartisan crypto tax bill through the House tax committee, while Bynum voted for crypto bills during her first term and appeared at the Digital Chamber's DC Blockchain Summit earlier this year.
"Fairshake has always been and always will be an issue-focused organization," said spokesman Geoff Vetter. "We back pro-crypto candidates who support American innovation in both parties."
The 32 endorsed candidates hold positions on committees expected to influence crypto legislation, including the House Ways and Means Committee, which will address crypto tax issues, and the House Financial Services Committee. Members also sit on agriculture, science, and judiciary panels.
Vetter stated that Fairshake has backed 53 winners out of 57 races in the primaries and is working toward "the largest pro-crypto caucus in American history."
The super PAC has also devoted approximately $30 million to oppose former Senator Sherood Brown, the Ohio Democrat seeking to return to the Senate. A PAC established by Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss has contributed an additional $3 million against Brown.
