Goldman Sachs has become the largest institutional holder of U.S. spot XRP ETFs, reporting $87.45 million in XRP ETF exposure during the second quarter of 2026, according to 13F filings submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission. This exposure is equivalent to holdings linked to more than 84 million XRP.
The bank significantly expanded its position during the quarter, adding 83.15 million XRP in ETF allocations across multiple issuers including Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, 21Shares, and Grayscale. This accumulation represents one of the largest institutional moves in the market.
The rebuild marks a dramatic reversal from earlier in 2026, when Goldman Sachs had exited its XRP ETF holdings entirely. The bank previously held approximately $154 million in XRP ETF exposure at the end of 2025.
Institutional Gap Widens
Goldman Sachs maintains a commanding lead over other institutional investors. The next four largest holders—Jane Street Group, Millennium Management, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Marex UK Holdings—collectively reported $55.4 million in XRP ETF exposure, underscoring the bank's dominant position.
Broader Market Growth
The 13F disclosures reflect growing institutional interest in spot XRP ETFs, which launched in the United States in late 2025. Since their debut, the products have attracted approximately $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows. Assets under management across the XRP ETF market are estimated between $1.4 billion and $1.5 billion, depending on XRP price movements.
The Bitwise XRP ETF has surpassed $500 million in assets under management, reflecting continued demand for regulated XRP investment products.
