Herculis Tokens SA Details XAUH Gold-Backed Token With Gram-Sized Units

Herculis Tokens SA has detailed how its Herculis Gold Coin (XAUH) allows users to own, transfer, and spend gold in fractions of a gram. Each XAUH token equals one gram of LBMA 999.9 bullion held in Swiss vaults, so a wallet balance directly reflects a weight of gold. Users can buy, store, or transfer as little as 0.01 grams and move tokens between wallets on the Ethereum, TRON, or TON networks at any time.

A gram as the basic unit

While traditional gold products often start at large sizes—an LBMA bar is typically 400 troy ounces, futures contracts are large and expire, and ETF buyers purchase whole shares—XAUH is designed around a smaller entry point. Because each token equals one gram, holders can compare the value of their tokens to the spot price per gram. In September 2026, CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap reported 15,500 tokens in circulation, equivalent to 15.5 kilograms of gold, with a market value of almost $2.1 million.

Supply follows deposits. Herculis says it issues tokens only against bullion held in custody, so there is no fixed cap, but every token is tied to one gram of gold in the vaults.

Designed for transfers and payments

The token is intended to be transferable. A holder can send a portion of their balance to another person, as with any crypto asset. Each transfer costs 0.02% of the transaction amount plus the network fee. According to Herculis, network fees on TON are only a few cents per transfer, while Ethereum is considerably more expensive, making small transfers burdensome.

Practical uses include saving in gold rather than a weak local currency, paying anyone who accepts the token, and trading it on BTSE, Biconomy.com, STON.fi, and Uniswap V2. Herculis plans to cooperate with Frankencoin, a Swiss stablecoin, and Morpho, a decentralized lending protocol.

Where the gold comes from

The bullion is refined at PX Precinox SA in Neuchâtel. Customers who pass identity checks can tokenize their own LBMA 999.9 bars produced by the refinery and receive one XAUH token for each gram. A tokenization fee of 0.3% applies to the total number of XAUH tokens minted.

Herculis House, Brink’s, and Loomis are the three custodians. The issuer claims the gold is allocated to a specific bar and insured at fair market value. Holders pay no annual storage or insurance fee.

The reserve was verified on 28 August 2026 by KPMG SA. Its team counted 15.5 kilograms on hand and compared the bars with 18 PX Precinox certificates, matching serial numbers. The work was conducted as an agreed-upon-procedures engagement in accordance with Swiss Auditing Standard 920. It was not an audit and covered only one date.

Getting physical gold back

KYC-verified customers holding at least 500 tokens can redeem them for bars in multiples of 500. The fee is 3% for a 500-gram redemption and 1% for redemptions of 1 kilogram or more. Shipping costs extra. Holders with smaller balances can sell on an exchange instead.

Practical steps and risks

Herculis recommends that buyers select a network first. Tokens sent to the wrong wallet address may not be recoverable, and an Ethereum balance cannot be spent on TON without a swap or bridge. A small test transfer, an offline copy of the seed phrase, and a check of the contract address on CoinGecko before sending are standard precautions.

The token is still small, so buyers and sellers may find limited liquidity and wider spreads. Herculis Tokens SA has implemented an AML/CFT framework and reports to the Financial Analysis Unit (FAU) in the Republic of Panama. That is the company’s own statement, not a regulator’s determination. Full terms are outlined in the XAUH whitepaper, and buyers can purchase directly from xauh.gold.
