Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, experienced a 19% price increase, trading at $69.88 amid a broader overnight bullish shift in the cryptocurrency market. The token recorded a session trading volume of $1.352 billion within a daily range of $58.04 to $72.28, placing its all-time high of $76.87 approximately 9.6% away.
The recent market movement follows developments involving the White House. During a crypto executive meeting attended by representatives from Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini, Robinhood, and Payward, President Donald Trump stated that CFTC Chairman Mike Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid into the United States in a compliant manner. The platform's always-on exchange model has previously drawn scrutiny and lobbying from traditional market infrastructure providers like CME and ICE over manipulation and sanctions concerns.
Technical indicators show mixed signals as the asset navigates its current price levels. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) line remains above the signal line with green histogram bars, indicating that short-term buying pressure and long-term momentum favor buyers. However, the daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 84.34, pointing to an overbought market condition driven by aggressive buying pressure.
On the price chart, HYPE faces initial resistance at $70.06, with potential for further upside movement toward $72. Conversely, a bearish correction could see the price drop to the nearest support level at $68.91, or potentially below $66 if stronger downside pressure unfolds.
