Hyperliquid's native token HYPE has entered a US-listed cryptocurrency index exchange-traded fund for the first time, joining Hashdex's Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF (NCIQ) with a weighting of 3.4%.
The addition makes HYPE the fund's fifth-largest holding, ranking below Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Solana (SOL). The fund held approximately $431.37 million in net assets as of September 1, with shares closing at $19.46 against a net asset value of $19.50.
Fund Composition and Recent Changes
NCIQ tracks the Nasdaq CME Crypto Settlement Price Index, which reflects the daily close of the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index built under Nasdaq and CME Group methodology. The rebalancing adjusted Bitcoin's weighting down from 78% to 74.6%, while Solana's share increased from 3.2% to 3.7%.
HYPE's allocation exceeds holdings in Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), Stellar (XLM), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which round out the fund's remaining positions alongside Ethereum and XRP.
About Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid operates as a layer-1 blockchain built around onchain perpetual futures trading, enabling traders to speculate on asset prices without owning the underlying assets. As of publication, HYPE traded at $81.76, reflecting a 5.74% gain over the previous 24 hours, with a market capitalization near $18.31 billion.
The inclusion reflects broader institutional activity in cryptocurrency ETFs this year, following sustained inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs and recent multi-month highs in Solana ETF inflows.
