JPMorgan Expands Tokenized Money Funds to Solana Blockchain

JPMorgan Asset Management has expanded its tokenized money market funds MONY and JLTXX onto Solana, making them available to qualified U.S. investors through the Morgan Money platform. The funds were previously accessible on Ethereum.

Both funds offer investors exposure to dollar-denominated money market strategies while leveraging blockchain infrastructure for ownership and settlement. Through Morgan Money, qualified U.S. investors can manage subscriptions, redemptions, and token balances from a single interface.

Institutional Cash Management on Public Blockchains

The expansion positions institutional cash-management products on Solana, a blockchain network historically associated with crypto trading and retail activity. The move strengthens the argument that public networks are becoming part of mainstream financial infrastructure.

For institutional clients, the appeal centers on accessing traditional financial assets through programmable blockchain rails rather than speculation. The funds can also serve as reserve and cash-management tools for eligible stablecoin issuers operating under the U.S. GENIUS Act framework.

JPMorgan joins other major firms, including Blackrock, in testing how tokenized funds can operate across public blockchain networks.

Record Holder Counts on Solana

The timing of JPMorgan's expansion coincides with growing adoption of tokenized real-world assets on Solana. Data shows tokenized credit holders on Solana reached a record 19,789, while holders of tokenized stocks across tracked markets climbed to approximately 1.5 million, up 6.7 percent.

Among individual equities, NVDAx leads with approximately 190,100 holders, followed by SPCX at 111,100. Rising holder counts across these assets suggest expanding participation beyond large institutional deposits.

Testing Sustained Adoption

The expansion represents part of a broader shift as major asset managers increasingly place money market funds, stocks, and other traditional assets onto public chains. The next measure of success will be whether these tokenized funds generate sustained balances and transaction activity beyond the initial launch.
