KITE's price surged 12.34%, supported by AI sector rotation and expanding market participation. The rally coincided with a 25% weekly gain in the Altcoin Season Index, signaling increased capital moving beyond Bitcoin.
Spot volume jumped 76.43% to $34.6 million, reflecting stronger market participation behind the rally. On the derivatives side, KITE's futures volume climbed 64.88% to $48.48 million, while open interest increased 12.21% to $57.94 million.
Fresh leveraged positions entered the market as investors responded to the price increase. Binance's top traders showed significant long exposure, with the long/short ratio by positions hitting 4.7002. Short liquidations reached $27.48K over 24 hours compared with $8.53K in long liquidations, suggesting bearish positions were flushed from the market.
Technical Outlook
KITE's rally pushed the price beyond a multi-month consolidation around $0.14, with the next key resistance at $0.16. The MACD indicator showed bullish alignment, with its line at 0.0076 above its signal line at 0.0035.
The RSI indicator climbed to 71.12, placing KITE in overbought territory. While overbought conditions did not invalidate the breakout, they increased the possibility of near-term profit-taking.
A strong move above $0.16 could validate the breakout and open a path toward $0.20 resistance. Failure at $0.16 could send KITE back toward its recently cleared range boundary around $0.14.
Downside Risks
Dense liquidation liquidity clusters accumulated beneath current price levels following the rapid rally. Notable clusters appeared below the $0.15 level, with stronger concentrations around the $0.14 zone and deeper liquidity near $0.13.
The rapid rally from $0.135 left KITE trading considerably above several lower liquidity clusters. Weakening demand at $0.16 could trigger a liquidity sweep toward lower concentrations, making the $0.14 zone particularly crucial as it aligns with the breakout area.
