Liminal, an institutional digital asset wallet and key-management infrastructure provider, has launched Liminal Prime, an enterprise software suite designed to serve licensed exchanges, financial institutions, payment providers, fintechs, market makers, corporate treasuries, and OTC trading desks.
The new offering combines principal-to-principal OTC dealing and liquidity provider connectivity with Liminal's existing wallet and key-management infrastructure. Each product operates as an independent module that institutions can adopt separately based on their operational and regulatory requirements.
Three Core Products
Liminal Prime comprises three distinct offerings:
- White-Glove OTC: Supports high-value, complex block trades through a dedicated dealing desk where Liminal acts as principal counterparty for its own account where regulatory frameworks permit.
- Electronic OTC (eOTC): Provides GUI and API-driven access to streaming and firm quotes for organizations managing recurring, high-frequency transaction flows, with Liminal acting as principal counterparty subject to applicable local licensing.
- Bridge: A technology platform enabling institutions to request quotes from and trade directly with separately onboarded liquidity providers, with Liminal functioning as a routing and communication intermediary rather than counterparty.
Background and Strategic Focus
Liminal has processed over US$100 billion in on-chain transactions across more than 20 blockchain networks for institutions in over 12 countries. The company developed Liminal Prime in response to institutional feedback identifying a gap in institutional-grade trading and liquidity access that integrates with existing governance and compliance frameworks.
All three products deliver configurable reporting, audit-ready workflows, and integration with Liminal's wallet and key-management infrastructure while supporting multiple blockchain networks and major digital asset pairs.
Geographic Restrictions
White-Glove OTC and Electronic OTC are restricted and unavailable to entities operating or residing in the UAE, India, Singapore, and Taiwan, as well as any jurisdiction where local laws prohibit their use. Bridge is available subject to local regulatory requirements.
