Litecoin [LTC] posted a 6.04% price gain over the past 24 hours, positioning it among the top-performing assets in the top-20 crypto assets by market capitalization. The altcoin climbed 29.2% over the weekly period, though the broader market experienced a pullback as Bitcoin declined from $87.3K to $82.9K by Thursday, 24th September.
LTC bulls cleared a major resistance level at $60.61, a swing high from May that marked a significant technical barrier. The breakout represents the first time Litecoin has pierced this level in several months, indicating a shift in the weekly price structure.
Technical Analysis and Key Indicators
On the weekly timeframe, the Awesome Oscillator registered a bullish crossover above the zero line, marking the first positive reading on this timeframe since October 2025. The Directional Movement Index highlighted a strong uptrend in progress on the weekly chart.
The Fixed Range Volume Profile identified a Value Area High at $60.50, reinforcing this price zone as a key technical level. However, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) remained near multi-month lows stretching back to March, signaling weak buyer strength behind the rally despite the price breakout. Weekly trading volume has not been explosive, raising questions about the durability of the move.
Daily timeframe indicators proved more encouraging, with the OBV making new highs and price structure maintaining a firmly bullish bias.
Key Support Levels
Traders identified $60 and $52.50 as key demand zones on the daily chart. A pullback to these levels could provide swing traders and investors with entry opportunities, given the bullish technical alignment across multiple timeframes.
