MANTRA Deploys Privy Embedded Wallets to Streamline RWA Trading

MANTRA is rolling out Privy's embedded wallet infrastructure across its user-facing applications, beginning with MF Markets, its trading platform for real-world assets. The deployment aims to simplify crypto onboarding by eliminating seed phrases while preserving user custody of private keys.

The first live deployment on MF Markets occurred around October 22, 2026, with MANTRA Zone and other interfaces planned for subsequent rollout. The integration targets users unfamiliar with traditional wallet recovery phrases, a common friction point in cryptocurrency adoption.

How Privy Wallets Work

New users can create wallets by signing in with an email address, Google account, or Apple account—a process resembling standard web authentication. Despite the simplified login, Privy maintains non-custodial ownership through key sharding within a trusted execution environment, or TEE, combined with policy enforcement. This approach splits the private key into pieces, ensuring no single party holds the complete key.

Rollout Schedule and Ecosystem

The integration is deploying across MANTRA's primary interfaces:

  • MF Markets: the RWA trading platform covering stocks, indices, commodities, and forex, where Privy wallets are already live
  • MANTRA Zone: the staking and development hub
  • Community front ends: including the Onchain OMies ecosystem

Community response has been largely positive, with users viewing the change as advancing adoption in the RWA sector.

MANTRA Chain Context

MANTRA Chain is a Layer-1 blockchain designed for compliance and tokenized real-world assets. The network holds a VARA license in Dubai and now supports both EVM and CosmWasm environments through MultiVM capabilities. The native token $MANTRA evolved from the earlier OM token, with migration underway. The eighth batch of OM upgrade claims is scheduled to open October 27, 2026, with eligible users having until December 2 to claim.

Tradeoffs and Considerations

While the embedded wallet approach removes a significant adoption barrier, it introduces different trust models. TEE-based security depends on hardware integrity and Privy's architecture. Users signing in through Google or Apple also tie wallet access partly to those accounts—a different trust model than seed phrases stored offline, though not a trust-free one. For MANTRA, the non-custodial structure aligns with regulatory positioning while avoiding the licensing and liability questions custodial setups present.
