MemeBitcoin (MBTC), a Bitcoin-native project centered on a participatory approach to Satoshi-era wallets, has announced an $8 million strategic funding round. The financing was backed by Gemhead Capital, Archer Capital, M2M Capital, and Mayer Venture.
The newly secured capital will fund the project's next growth phase, which includes a global community campaign, a full public launch, and preparations for centralized exchange listings covering spot and futures markets. Funding will also support the project's whitelist early-access phase, featuring the launch of its site, forum, wallet connection, and Proof of Viral activation.
Built around the concept of Satoshi-era wallets and potential future quantum computing vulnerabilities, MemeBitcoin utilizes a web application where users generate and test candidate private keys against public keys, complete missions, and share content. The project operates with a total supply of 210,000,000,000 tokens on the BNB Smart Chain, with emissions released on a 10-minute cadence and a halving every four months. According to the project, no tokens are pre-allocated to the team, and the entire supply is distributed through user participation.
As of late August 2026, the project reported 23,700 total users, 18,350 daily active users, and 2.4 million recorded wallet decryption attempts. The founding team previously launched a token that achieved top-tier exchange listings and entered the global top 50 by market capitalization.
