Memecoin investor Murad Mahmudov confirmed an $81 million roundtrip in paper gains during a TOKEN2049 Singapore panel titled "Memecoins: Dead or Just Getting Started?" on October 7. When asked by moderator Ran Neuner if he had "roundtripped eighty-one million dollars," Mahmudov responded affirmatively, stating he was "totally" comfortable with the outcome because he expected the wallets to eventually be worth billions.
Mahmudov framed his willingness to hold through the reported drawdown as part of leading by example within memecoin communities. He stated he would hold for another "six, seven, eight years" because his targets were significantly higher than 2025 levels. He described this approach as necessary to build something "bigger than Dogecoin," requiring what he called "extreme levels of diamond handedness"—trading shorthand for refusing to sell through volatility.
In Mahmudov's view, the willingness to hold through reported losses demonstrates the conviction he wants to see from the wider community. Later in the panel, he identified himself as "a huge supporter" of SPX6900, which traded at approximately $0.36 on October 22, roughly 84% below its all-time high.
The remarks do not establish a realized loss, only the paper gains roundtrip. Mahmudov's confidence that the wallets will reach billions represents a future projection rather than a confirmed financial outcome.
