MoonPay announced on October 29, 2026 that Whop has joined PayBox Markets, integrating the marketplace with MoonPay's AI-driven payment product. The partnership enables AI agents to search Whop listings, assemble orders, and begin the payment process while buyers maintain control through approval mechanisms.
Whop operates a marketplace connecting to approximately 300,000 businesses. Through the integration, that network is now accessible to AI agents using PayBox. The setup supports several major AI models, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok, so users are not limited to a single assistant to access the feature.
How the System Works
Buyers remain in control through defined approval mechanisms, including passkey confirmations and spending limits set in advance. For Whop's merchants, the integration is designed so existing storefronts do not require changes to accept AI-originated orders.
PayBox, which launched in 2026, is described as a non-custodial AI payment vault combining digital asset wallets and cards. Non-custodial means MoonPay does not hold funds on the user's behalf; users retain control of their assets. PayBox is built to operate inside AI chat interfaces while respecting user-defined controls.
Scale and Prior Collaboration
Whop recently closed a Series D funding round of $200 million at a valuation of $5.1 billion. The platform has facilitated more than $7 billion in total transactions across 185 countries.
This integration marks the second collaboration between the companies. In March 2026, MoonPay and Whop partnered to improve deposits and withdrawals for users converting platform earnings into digital assets. That integration focused on transferring money in and out, while this new partnership addresses how money gets spent and who, or what, conducts the spending.
