NEAR Protocol has introduced NEAR Business, a confidential multisig treasury platform designed for crypto companies and institutions to manage payments, assets, and capital allocations across more than 35 blockchains. The platform was announced Tuesday.
NEAR Business supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, NEAR, and assets on networks including Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche, XRP Ledger, Sui, and TON. Teams can pay employees and vendors, execute swaps, and manage treasury balances through a single dashboard, with transactions requiring approval under rules set by each organization.
Unlike traditional public blockchain wallets, the platform keeps transaction amounts, recipient information, and treasury balances confidential while maintaining publicly verifiable governance records. The service is initially available by invitation, and interested organizations must request access through the NEAR Business website.
NEAR Intents powers confidential treasury operations
NEAR Business operates through NEAR Intents, the protocol’s infrastructure for executing transactions across multiple blockchains without requiring users to interact directly with bridges. Each treasury uses a self-custodial multisig contract that enforces organizational approval thresholds, while NEAR’s multiparty computation network handles transaction signing after the required approvals are collected.
The platform also supports bulk payments, hardware wallet signing, multiple treasuries, and transaction records that can be exported for accounting and auditing.
NEAR Business is free to start, with no subscription or per-user fees. The platform covers network fees for the first 1,000 actions each month, while swaps carry a 0.35% fee.
The launch expands NEAR’s use of its Intents infrastructure beyond individual asset swaps into financial operations for businesses, funds, and digital asset treasury companies.
