NEAR Protocol Surges 7.6% After Reaching $70 Million TVL Milestone

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) ranked as the second-best-performing cryptocurrency among the top 30 by market cap over the past 24 hours, rising 7.59% to trade at $2.51.

The price increase followed the attainment of the "[email protected]" Milestone Incentive Program, which automatically distributed 333,333 locked and non-transferable [email protected] tokens once the network's privacy-focused Confidential Intents pipeline reached a $70 million total value locked (TVL) target. Near Protocol surpassed this threshold, with TVL growing 129.3% over the past 90 days to reach $70.79 million.

NEAR's airdrop program rewards ecosystem growth by distributing tokens to eligible users whenever the network hits preset TVL landmarks. To qualify for the current airdrop, users must have maintained a balance above $100 and successfully executed at least one confidential swap. Users with earlier activity, higher balances, and more swaps received higher allocations.

[email protected] tokens are redeemable for NEAR at a 1:1 ratio once NEAR's volume-weighted average price (VWAP) holds at or above $3.33 for three consecutive days. The unlock conditions are designed to prevent wash trading and short-term speculation.

Near Protocol is among the first major layer-1 blockchains to achieve partial quantum-proof status.

At $2.51, NEAR traded above the $2.44 Fibonacci support level. A break above this level could lead to a retest of the $2.65 resistance zone, while a decline below support could pull the price to $2.25 or deeper corrections to $2.00.
